The Goddess Sign for Pisces is the Grail, the chalice that contains the waters of collective consciousness.  The Grail is a symbol of the quest toward immortality and conscious union with the Divine.  Pisces is traditionally symbolized by two fish swimming in opposite directions in the ocean of existence, but tethered at the tails.  Pisces can represent illusion, not seeing clearly or refusing to see, or divine inspiration. This stage of the journey requires faith.  Pisces endows knowledge of the alchemical “Below,” the deep reservoir of collective existence, which engenders empathy.  Pisces goddesses include mermaids, fish deities and mother-creators from the sea, as well as those who embody the principles of sacrifice and compassion.

Kwan Yin, who is called Mother of Mercy, is a Chinese bodhisattva and the embodiment of the principle of compassion.  She is usually depicted in a flowing white robe, holding an urn containing a substance called the “water of life” in one hand and a weeping willow branch in the other.  In Japan she is called Kannon; in Bali, Kannin; in Korea, Gwan-eum; and in Thailand, Kuan-eim.  One legend says Kwan Yin has a thousand arms with which to reach out and respond to the countless cries of humanity.

Ganga, whose name means “swift goer,” is the Hindu goddess whose body is the holy Ganges River in India.  The origin of her waters is believed to be in heaven, where she circles the celestial Mount Meru three times.  In iconography she is depicted with a full vessel, which symbolizes her life-giving potential as well as her cleansing waters.  Britomartis is a goddess from ancient Crete who was addressed as “sweet maid,” and is thought to represent the maiden aspect of the Triple Goddess—Maiden, Mother and Crone.  Britomartis was also called Lady of Nets as she bestowed the gift of fishing nets to her people.

Oba is a great goddess of the Yoruba people of western Africa, who were savaged during the period of slave trading.  The waters of the river that is named Oba represent her.  Some stories say she has a difficult relationship with her sister Oshun, who lives in another river.  As proof, the waters are turbulent and dangerous where the two rivers meet.   Ma Tsu is a Taoist goddess of the sea from ancient China.  Her name means “mother ancestor.”  She is still revered by more than a hundred million people in the coastal areas of southeastern China where her devotees come from seafaring lineages.  Sedna is a goddess of the Inuit people of the frigid Artic north who were once called Eskimo.  Her myth is a story of a beautiful girl who was tricked by a potential mate and then betrayed by her father when she called for help.  Her father cast her out of his boat to save himself, even cutting off her fingers as she clung to the side.  Her appendages became seals, walruses and whales.  Sedna is now Queen of the Sea and is the guardian of all the food the Inuit hunt.

Maya is a Hindu and Buddhist goddess who is the universal creator of all forms in existence, and she is the divine power that allows the evolution of the world.  She is worshipped as Mother of Creation and Weaver of the Web of Life.  She represents the continual exchange of matter and energy, and seems to be the embodiment of Einstein’s famous equation E = mc2.  Amphritite is a Greek goddess who ruled the sea long before Poseidon/Neptune.  She is perhaps better understood as the ocean itself.  In art she is depicted in a chariot drawn by hippocampi, fishtailed horses.

Hina-Ika is a Hawaiian goddess known as Lady of the Fish.  She is regarded as the mother-creator of the island of Molokai.  In Polynesia she is known as Ina, and in New Zealand she is Hine-tu-a-manga, meaning “goddess of waters.”  She is the guardian of the sea and all its creatures.  The whales are her siblings and she retaliates when they are killed.  Ningyo is a Japanese mermaid goddess who is depicted with long black hair and the tail of a fish.  Legend says that when Ningyo cries, her tears become precious pearls.

Lady Of The Lake, who is often called Viviane, is a Celtic goddess who appears in several guises.  She appeared in the Arthurian legend, and in some versions she was the foster mother of Lancelot.  She was also the guardian of the Hallows of Kingship, sacred objects related to the principle of sovereignty.  Modjadji, which means “ruler of the day,” is a rain goddess of South Africa and an earthly manifestation of the goddess Mwari.  She is called “transformer of clouds.”  Modjadji is a rain queen who is thought to posses the secret of creating rain by interacting with cloud spirits.

As the wheel of the years turns toward light in the northern hemisphere, and winter snows become spring rains, we can call upon these water goddesses.  Their healing waters can help prepare the fertile fields of our imagination to receive new seeds. Pisces goddesses can help us connect with these strong currents to bring rivers of healing and potential fertility into our lives.

ARIES

March is a month when you may find yourself reflecting on your life and future. There is a New Moon in the area associated with life’s mysteries. You are usually an action-packed person but now it’s important to find time for reflection because you are on the edge of a new phase in your life. Any new phase begins with a plan and a vision and you are in the midst of creating that now. Give yourself time and space because your ruler, Mars is still retrograde until mid-April, so you are still in this planning, revision time. Also, this is compounded by Mercury Retrograde from March 12 so definitely a stop-go type of period for you.

TAURUS

This is a month to listen to and trust in your dreams. At times you may doubt because at heart you are a pragmatist and want everything set in stone. However, a situation that you’re in seems to be drawing you into an unknown place and I advise you to go with it, especially if it seems to be what you have always been seeking. It’s important to also know which friends you can trust and seek their advice when you have doubts, as you probably will this month. It seems to be one step forward and one step back but if you keep your goals and aspirations as noble as possible, you will definitely feel you’re moving in the right direction.

GEMINI

Your focus in March is on career and your public image or reputation and you can certainly now have your time in the spotlight. However, think deeply about whether this is what you really want. As a Gemini you are sometimes accused of being fickle or skating on the surface of life. It is not that you are fickle but you are fast; you move quickly and think on your feet. You do well in careers that require that clever, adaptable mind. However, right now you may be seeking something more substantial; more aligned with a deeper side of who you are. There is an extraordinary New Moon in the area of career but it is not quite clear yet what you want. As with all the signs, the planetary mood is building up to full steam ahead in late May.

CANCER

There is an important New Moon in Pisces in the area of long distant journeys. This can sometimes indicate literal travel across the oceans to far and distant lands, but it can also indicate the beginning of a journey – which can be higher learning or a spiritual quest of some kind. However, this does make you feel like an explorer about to find uncharted lands so is a potentially exciting time. As a Cancer you can be cautious but now is the time to be bold and brave like the pioneers of old because you are entering an important phase of your life and can now discover talents and parts of yourself that you weren’t even aware existed. Have faith at this time.

LEO

As a Leo, you like to be in control. You’re a leader and you need the world to know that. With an important New Moon in Pisces, you are being called to make some type of surrender. This may mean you have to go along with a financial situation or intimate relationship rather than trying to “run the show”.  You may need to make some adjustments in your way of thinking and expressing yourself at this time or you could feel powerless. However, it is all good and time for you to have faith. The planets are calling for change at a deep level and there is a part of you that needs to realize that actually it is your Higher Self that is in control. There is a plan for you that is even bigger than your own dreams and go along with the flow for once instead of trying to control it. Also, you probably feel that things are moving slower than you would like. Mars is in retrograde until mid-April and on March 12, Mercury also goes retrograde.

VIRGO

Relationships are key for you right now with an important New Moon in your opposite sign of Pisces, requiring you to think more of others than yourself. Also, Mars is still retrograde in your own sign of Virgo so you are going to have to make some adjustments in the way you regard others. Your pattern of relating is undergoing some changes and now is the time. As a Virgo, you have a tendency to be opinionated, critical, and think you know best – which can alienate others. PISCES

Aries

This may be a frustrating month for Aries, as your ruling planet, Mars, turned retrograde on January 23 making it seem like a “stop-go” kind of month when you won’t be able to make as much progress as you’d like. However, the planets are there helping us to grow, and Mars retrograde is telling you that perhaps you’re doing something wrong or need to make some adjustments to the way you expend your energy and assert yourself. Don’t be discouraged; actually this is a great time to review, revise and solidify your plans. It’s also great when lovely Venus enters your sign on February 8, making you feel favored, charismatic and appreciated. Also, there are some things you can do with gusto – one is to communicate, especially around February 13-15 when Mercury makes a harmonious aspect to Saturn, helping you to get your point across in a powerful and realistic way.

Taurus

February is a month of opposites and contracts which brings some possible complications. On the one hand you are feeling sensitive, spiritually-minded and mystically-inclined with several planets in Pisces including Neptune that begins a 13 year visit to this sign. You may feel inspired or confused about what is going on and the best approach is to nurture your spiritual self with prayer, meditation and spiritual practices to get on the right track and avoid confusion. On the other hand, with Venus leaping into impulsive Aries on February 8, joined by Uranus the following day, you may experience sudden impulses or attractions that seem to be out of character. Rely on your inner guidance so you’re not led astray by a fleeting feeling or illusion.

Gemini

Things may be a little stressful as the month begins, especially in the area of relationships but overall the outlook is good – just a few bumps on the road of life. It’s best to count to three before speaking to loved ones, though, because you could say too much and regret it later, especially around February 9 and 10. Slow-moving planet shifts into the water sign of Pisces on February 3, after a long stint in fellow air sign of Aquarius and you may a shift in energy. Also, this is moving into your area of career and so you may begin to feel you want a more fulfilling and meaningful career and think for the long term. You’re an ideas person and may have a great idea around February 7 around the time of the Leo Full Moon in your area of communication.

Cancer

The month begins with you in a communicative mood with Mars in this area of your chart opposed by Venus. You may feel sharp, witty and flirtatious and enjoy playing with words. You are always a good storyteller; now especially so. You are also feeling more socially-oriented than usual so this is a good time to plan a social event, certainly early in the month. However, expect some sudden changes from February 6-9 leading up to and after the Full Moon on February 7. Don’t be impulsive and rush into situations that you might regret later. You’re feeling romantic around Valentine’s Day but be careful what you promise because reality sets in a few days later. Neptune, the planet of mystery, magic, faith and dreams is revisiting the area of your chart that rules travel, education, religion and the higher mind. It is a major visit since this planet will remain here until May 2025.

Leo

As a Leo you have a noble heart and you will need to draw on this in February, taking the high road in all your dealings. Also, don’t hesitate to express yourself especially around the time of the Full Moon which is in your sign of Leo on February 7 reminding you of your own dreams and aspirations and how important it is that you don’t get sidetracked. However, this Full Moon makes several aspects with other planets, including an opposition  to the Sun and Mercury, which indicates there could be some disagreements with a partner or associate at this time; someone who is keen on getting you to agree with them rather than go your own way. Don’t be discouraged and keep going as you’re on the right track, despite what others may say or do.

Virgo

February is a good month to take a step back and relax a little. Do some honest reflection about your life rather than full steam ahead.  Things are shifting this month. The subtle but significant planet, Neptune, enters your opposite sign of Pisces and remains there for a long time – until 2025. Whenever a slow moving planet changes signs, we find that our lives begin to shift – in this case, subtle but definite ways. It is particularly affecting relationships. You will no longer be satisfied by superficial relationships but will more and more seek close and fulfilling connections. However, the downside of Neptune is that it tends to make us more gullible than usual and so it’s important to face things as they are, in a realistic manner.

Libra

The month begins on a stressful note as your ruler, Venus, opposes Mars in the area of work. There may be a female colleague or work associate who’s bent on putting you down. Be diplomatic now and your mediating abilities can really pay off and you can end up with a friend for life!  February 14 is a romantic time for you but watch out that you don’t lose your head or make promises you’re never going to be able to keep. In other words, enjoy the romance but also keep your feet on the ground. Around this time of the month, you’ll probably find yourself dealing with some routine tasks like your tax return but you’ll find if you get stuck into them, you gain a more realistic and practical perspective generally which is needed at this time.

Scorpio

You’re in a creative and romantic phase since Venus entered this area of your chart on January 14 and continues to be there, joined by mystical Neptune on February 3. Get used to the inspirational quality of Neptune in your creative work since Neptune will remain in this area for the next thirteen years! However, there is a negative side to how we manifest the power of Neptune – that is by being overly gullible. However, it is better to be open to love, and even a little naïve, than to harden our hearts with too much cynicism, lack of trust or fear of rejection. This is a time to learn unconditional love and embrace your Spiritual life even more fully. Neptune can sometimes cause us to feel a little uncertain and these feelings are enhanced by a Venus-Saturn aspect around February 7. Conservative Saturn turns retrograde also at this time reminding you to be cautious rather than impulsive in all your dealings and relationships.

Sagittarius

The month begins full steam ahead in your personal life and not much action professionally or career-wise. Mars is in its extended visit to your area of career and currently in retrograde motion until mid-April so you may feel as if you are treading water. It’s definitely slowing you down but it is an excellent time to revise your plans. You feel strongly that your whole life is on an upward swing, and being an optimist at heart, it is usually not hard for you to feel this way. However, rest assured that not too much is going to improve unless you take a realistic look at your life and goals and be honest about whether a particular pet project is really working for you.

Capricorn

Sometimes you treasure security too much but in February it’s good for you to follow your feeling as much as possible. The month begins in a serious vein but try not to get bogged down in other people’s head trips. Humor is always a good tonic for you. You may be feeling impulsive on the home front from February 8 when Venus is in Aries in this area of your chart. Instead of venting frustrations on family members, use this creative energy to begin a new project at home. Things could get a little extra explosive on the 9^th when Venus joins Uranus, stirring up a need for change. The New Moon in Pisces on February 21 connects with mystic Neptune. Again, another prompt for you to listen to your feelings rather than your analytical mind.

Aquarius

February is all about you. It is your month as the Sun moves into your sign of Aquarius, helping you to get your ideas off the ground and put your thoughts into words. However, although it’s time for you to go after your dreams, the Leo Full Moon on February 7 also reminds you about other people’s needs. Although independent and a person who likes his or her own space, at the end of the day you are not meant to be a loner but working with others in a team or group. On February 14, Valentine’s Day, you may be in a romantic frame of mind but acutely aware of spending too much. Although not usually a particularly emotional person – and priding yourself on your ability to detach – your emotions could come bubbling to the surface about now. Be careful that you don’t say or promise something that you might regret later when impulsive Venus in Aries makes a difficult aspect to the planet that tends to unearth secrets – Pluto.

Pisces

As a Pisces, you are drawn to the unseen and the mysterious. Dealing with the concrete, material world can often be a challenge to you. Don’t worry, February is the time to retreat, meditate, and enjoy these intangible areas of life rather than dealing with overly mundane issues, with the Sun in the Spiritual area of your chart. February 3 is an important day when your ruling planet, Neptune, returns to your sign for a long stretch of thirteen years. This will give you more power, especially in the realms of the imagination, art and music and with Spiritual matters but may incline you towards being overly idealistic and gullible. One thing that will gradually change is your approach to life. You will be seeking more fulfillment in all areas, including your career.

ARIES
The last month of the year should be a time of wrapping up loose ends in order to start planning for the New Year. Yet 2011 is a year that has so many twists, turns and changes right down to the last minute, revealing that it’s not over until it’s over. On the professional front, things are still falling into place, as your powerful ruler, Mars spends his first full month in your work sector and Venus evokes your professional passions. When the Sun arrives in your career sector on December 22, he will take over from where Venus leaves off just a day earlier. Also, with Mercury not even arriving until January 8, one professional year is going to merge into the next with little chance to catch your breath in between.

TAURUS
Moving into the new month with the tailwind from a solar eclipse in your financial sector late last month at your back, this is a highly charged financial month. A total lunar eclipse in your income sector on December 11 confirms this. While, with planetary activity in your financial sector all month there is a lot of focus on your overall financial situation — which is usually the case at this time of year — it’s the lunar eclipse that is the wildcard. This is likely to either bring things to a head or to fruition on the income front or, because of its links to next year’s big income opportunities, wake you up to what can achieve. You can be successful financially if you wish to be next year.

GEMINI
December is always an important month on the personal and relationship fronts, with the Sun’s position in your relationship sector in the first three weeks of December each year also putting you at the halfway point in your current solar year. With the Sun now on the opposite side of the sky, it’s a good time to reflect on yourself…… and look at yourself directly in the eye. It’s important to remember that your relationships are actually holding up a mirror to what you most need to learn about yourself. The biggest mirror of all will be the Full Moon that falls in your sign during the Sun’s month long visit to your relationship sector each year. This year the Full Moon may well present a case of deja vu.

CANCER
While December is going to be a professionally focused month, with the Sun in your work sector until December 22, Mercury here until January 8 and Uranus turning direct in your career sector on the December 10, your personal life is also coming into play. When the Sun left a romantic and creative part of your chart on November 23, it was with an awareness of the importance of and the tools needed to maintain the right balance between work and play. But it was Venus’ return to your relationship sector on November 27 and her position here until December 21, with the Sun taking over from where she leaves off on December 22, that also makes this an important month for your relationships and your personal life.

LEO
December is a month that is such an important professional and personal month, that you really will have to master your juggling skills early in the game, making balance and having clear boundaries a priority. For with the Sun and Mercury continuing to run with the romantic advantages that gained momentum late last month and Venus, planet of love reaching your relationship sector on December 21, this sets the scene for a very special Christmas/New Year for relationships, with your personal life needing to be a priority. In fact, you’ll spend the holiday period with Mercury in your romantic sector and Venus and Neptune in your relationship sector, giving you a huge advantage on both fronts.

VIRGO
As is normally the case each December, there is a lot of focus on your home and family, with the Sun always spending the first 3 weeks of December in your home and family sector. This year the focus is even more extreme, thanks to a solar eclipse here late last month, Mercury’s retrograde position here and some strong desires and expectations left behind by Venus, when she left on November 27. So far this hasn’t been a problem, with the Sun working with the North Node to open new doors and Mercury’s retrograde phase giving you a chance to make up for lost time, especially when it comes to communication on the home front. The only problem you’re likely to have is around the time of the total lunar eclipse in your career sector on December 11.

LIBRA
With your professional year coming to a more gradual and controlled wind down this year, you don’t have the pressure, urgency or intensity of previous years and with Venus not returning to your work sector until January 14, you can start wrapping things up and slowing down. This means that this year December isn’t as professionally focused as it has been in recent years, giving you a chance to focus on life’s other opportunities, with December an important and most probably pleasant and enjoyable month on the home front. A New Moon in your home and family sector on Christmas Day even opens up an opportunity for new beginnings or new precedents.

SCORPIO
With the Sun in your income sector until December 22, Mercury here until January 8, the tailwind from last month’s solar eclipse at your back and Mercury holding the door open to second chances until December 14, this was always going to be a financially focused month. This is even more so with a total lunar eclipse in your financial sector on December 11, finally putting everything on the line and all your cards on the table. Yet no matter what home truths this brings into play, with planetary activity in your income sector until early next year and big financial opportunities next year, you’re able to use this as motivation.

SAGITTARIUS
A solar eclipse in your sign late last month has given your birthday month a lot more momentum than you would normally expect and with Venus having already been and gone, the Sun in your sign until December 22 and Mercury in retrograde motion until December 14, but not leaving until early next year, this is still very much a work in progress. The first 3 weeks of the month are all about exploring your options, which need to remain open even after the Sun moves on. For right now, even with Mercury in retrograde for the first 2 weeks of the month, it’s all about opening new doors and planting new seeds, which is already starting to shape what 2012 will look like for you.

CAPRICORN
While you’ll have to wait for the Sun’s return to your sign on December 22 to kick off your new solar year, chances are you’ll move into the new month with a sense that it’s already begun. That’s because Venus returned to your sign on November 27 and will be here until December 21, leaving just a day before your birthday month begins. This is the perfect lead up to a new solar year and is providing the perfect objectivity in the closing weeks of your current solar year. In your sign Venus is already drawing your heart towards the future, giving you a clear sense of what you want and therefore which old doors to keep open and which to close. It also means that when the Sun returns to your sign you won’t need to waste time defining what you want, with Venus leaving a very clear roadmap etched in your heart.

AQUARIUS
Even though you won’t begin winding down your current solar year until the Sun returns to an intuitive, reflective and nostalgic part of your chart on December 22, as he does at this time every year, chances are you’re hanging out for that sanctuary and that quiet space to hear yourself think from the get go. That’s because Venus is always here, taking your heart on a trip down memory lane and bringing a desire for the quiet life. With the Sun in a social and serendipitous part of your chart until December 22 and Mercury until early next month, there’s little chance that you’ll be hanging up your social butterfly wings anytime soon, but it will mean that you’ll savour those quiet times just a little more than you normally would at this time each year.

PISCES
Your biggest problem this month is that you have it all and get to do it all, with your professional situation falling into place, some fun social times possible, family matters coming to a head and money matters finding their stride, in what is also an important relationship month. With so much happening this month, balance, boundaries, priorities and keeping the communication lines open are all important, for while you can have it all you will need to work to juggle the different aspects of your life that will be calling for your attention. It’s a total lunar eclipse in your home and family sector on December 11 that will both bring things that have been building all year to a head, while also providing some valuable clues for big developments here next year.

Aries  You continue cautiously in September with Jupiter bringing opportunities for financial increase your way. Often in the past you have spent as much as you have made, and just as quickly and impulsively. Now, however, with your ruler in cautious Cancer, you are enthusiastic to save and budget; perhaps a new experience for you!  Make the most of this time by working on an investment portfolio and saving for the future – or at least a rainy day!  However, around September 6, you begin to want to wave your magic wand and make things happen. Too much caution can make your stir-crazy but it was good while it lasted. Enticing Venus aligns with your ruler, Mars, on September 11 adding charm to enthusiasm and making you pretty irresistible. Don’t be overly optimistic but use the art of diplomacy and gentle persuasion to achieve your goals.

Taurus  This is such a great time for you that I hope you’re making the most of it. The month begins with the Sun in fellow Earth sign of Virgo making a pleasant relationship to abundant Jupiter in your own sign on September 2. You just feel good about life! You feel optimistic; confident and full of vitality! However, the best advice to you right now is to take opportunities or the time will come and go and nothing much will happen. In other words, remember to “make hay while the Sun shines”. However, things get even better around September 11 to 14 when your ruler, Venus, makes a pleasant aspect to Mars inviting you to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy life. With Jupiter in the picture, however, you could go overboard so enjoy this time but tread a little cautiously.

Gemini  As a Gemini you love to dance and move around, physically as well as mentally, seeing the world from different angles and looking at all sides of an issue. This is uppermost in September as your attention moves between your work and desire to play and let your hair down. You just can’t escape work entirely with the Sun in Virgo urging you to organize things and do some essential routine work around the home. You may be feeling a little dazed around September 8 when your ruler, Mercury opposes confusing but mystical Neptune. It’s a good time though to indulge your imagination and enjoy your meditation and spiritual practices rather than stressing over the everyday stuff.

Cancer  You are now in a time of change and vitality. Being a cautious person at heart, change is sometimes difficult, and even painful, but right now, you are ready for it and have the energy to actually enjoy it if you loosen up a little and adopt an adventurous spirit. It’s a great time in September to plan your goals for the future with Mars in your sign making some nice aspects to intuitive planets, Jupiter and Neptune. You’re in a positive frame of mind as September begins and people are drawn to you, giving you the support, friendship and popularity you enjoy. September 8 is an inspirational day rather than a practical one so take time for inspired, spiritual tasks instead of mundane ones. There’s plenty of everyday stuff up ahead when Mercury enters Virgo on September 9 so hold off your work around the house until then!

 Leo  You feel good about life as September begins as your ruling planet, the Sun, makes a lovely trine to abundant Jupiter. Be open to new ideas and opportunities. There’s also good news on the financial front as the Sun is in this area of your chart until September 23.  On September 9, there’s a few day period when it’s ideal to work on projects or work that requires details, such as revising plans, editing, researching or assessing information. You may feel a little isolated around September 11 as a result of the Sun making difficult aspects to the Nodes of the Moon so it’s a good day to spend quiet time alone in retreat rather than trying to fit in with others. The Full Moon is in Pisces the following day and you may be faced with a decision about or with a partner.

Virgo  You prefer the tried and true and the status quo to what you don’t know. However, hold onto your seat belt because change is coming along and it’s best to go with the flow if you can. You like to have all the information in front of you before you make a decision or plan but right now you’re going to have to trust in the Universe. It doesn’t mean you should suspend judgment and powers of discernment and in fact, I’d recommend you do your homework also. However, it’s doubtful that what you finally decide will be based on facts but more likely on something unexpected that happens. The month opens in a spectacular way for you with your Virgo Sun making a lovely trine aspect to abundant, fortunate Jupiter. So be open to what’s coming up and be prepared to act quickly when an opportunity comes your way.  You’re at your charming best around September 11-14 leading up to and after the sweet Full Moon in Pisces, your opposite sign, on September 12.

Libra  As a Libra, you usually like to be actively engaged in life but as September begins you long for some quiet, down time. If you can, take some time out and plan a trip or at least a few days away spending time in the solace of Nature or in some type of retreat. You will feel better for it. Just lately you have been overworked and at times feel as if you are at everyone’s beck and call. Now you need time for yourself; realize you do not have to be accessible to everyone and it’s important to be selective. Scorpio  Expect a dose of good news as the month begins when the Sun trines Jupiter on September 2 encouraging you to feel good about life and bringing you energy and vitality. Your friends are particularly helpful to you and opportunity could come your way through networking; this trend continues through September 9. Although a fortunate time, it is good for you to take the initiative rather than sit back and wait for things to happen. As a Scorpio, you often have deep feelings swirling around that even you are not always aware of! This is particularly true as Mercury trines Pluto but right now is a good time to bring those feelings to the surface through honest communication. If you can do that you will feel as if a weight has been lifted from your shoulders. Now is the time to share and it’s a good time to work with and tackle issues that are difficult to define or just plain difficult. If you’re single and seeking romance, there’s a nice romantic period around September 11-14 when a new love interest could appear.

Sagittarius  You begin the month in positive career mode now that Mercury is once again direct in this area of your chart making progress possible now. Make the most of this positive communication time to ask for a raise or new responsibilities! Also, if you had to drop projects you were working on previously, now is the time to pick them up again. You are at your most efficient, and this is a good time to make plans and implement them, with a nice Sun/Jupiter trine in the practical Earth signs. Don’t forget to also work on nurturing your soul this month as the Pisces Full Moon reminds you that without a strong, spiritual foundation, you will find it impossible to achieve your highest aspirations. This Full Moon also stirs up your emotions and it’s possible that a relationship or event from the past comes up so that you feel nostalgic about what might have been. However, focus on the here and now to make the most of a brilliant Mercury/Jupiter trine around September 14.

Capricorn  September begins well for you with a joyful trine of the Sun and Jupiter in fellow Earth signs offering you promise of success and happy times ahead. You feel optimistic about the future and self-confident; ready to take on any challenges. This is a good time to make some beneficial personal change, such as a decision to exercise on a regular basis or do regular spiritual practices. You will then make the most of this connection; you will find if you don’t make some type of positive change the period will come and go without much happening. Also, just because you feel good now doesn’t mean that there aren’t a few challenges up ahead (aren’t there always?!) Some challenging aspects from Mercury around September 8 and 9 may bring frustration around the areas of expression or communication related to your career. It’s not a time to seek a raise or a new job but a couple of days later at the time of the Full Moon in Pisces on September 12, Mercury makes a positive aspect to Pluto, indicating a green light to reach for your goals.

Aquarius  Your financial situation should improve at the beginning of September if you work at it. There’s a nice trine from Jupiter to the Sun between your area of shared resources and your home or inner self. What this indicates is that your inner values and integrity could bring financial rewards and benefits. Other people, such as an employer or client, can see just what a worthwhile and honest person you are and give you the break you need. It can indicate an opportunity to set up or improve a home-based business. You have been challenged by relationships over the past few months but things should ease off a bit in this area so that you find yourself freer to express yourself and work on your own goals and ambitions. Perhaps another person has been challenging you and how you spend your money and you may feel that you can no longer tolerate this and may consider ending the relationship, or changing it in some way. It may be best to wait a few days before you make any drastic decisions. Mars brings you the courage and energy to make a change in this area around September 18 when it enters Leo and your area of partnerships and relationships.

Pisces   The month begins in a joyful way as the Sun makes a trine to your ruling planet, abundant Jupiter, filling you with hope and optimism. The problem with Jupiter aspects if that we feel so good we just let them come and go without doing anything special and therefore the effects are often not long-lasting. To make the most of beneficial Jupiter aspects, it’s good to initiate something or do something positive that will have a lasting effect. It is like seed planting time; if we plant no seeds, nothing will blossom but if we take the time to plant the right seeds, beautiful flowers will bloom in the future. September 2-3 is a good time for a weekend away with a friend or loved one. If you’re seeking romance, this could blossom around September 11 when Venus and Mars join forces bringing love into your life. There is a Full Moon in your sign a day later on September 12 which increases this romantic feeling and propels you to spread compassion and kindness to all around you.

 Aries Horoscope

You have had a few months of full steam ahead with Jupiter rushing through your Sign and now in Taurus. Almost without noticing at the time, your life opened up and opportunities for expanding your life came your way. Now looking back, you can probably see how your life expanded, whereas at the time everything was moving so fast you may have missed the changes, and also some of the opportunities. Now you’re ready to put all those ideas you had to work. The Sun is currently lighting up your area of self-expression until August 23 so be creative but also be aware that Mercury is doing its retrograde dance from August 2-26. Be cautious about launching new creative ideas and plans; they may well need some revision.

Taurus Horoscope

August begins with your ruler, Venus, hooking up with rebellious Uranus bringing the possibility of erratic communication and broken appointments. As well as frustration, this can also signal an exciting social engagement or new friendship. On August 2, Mercury turns retrograde once again, adding more possibility for frustration until August 26. As a Taurus you like to be in control and don’t relish the unexpected but now it’s best to embrace an adventurous spirit, especially in matters of the heart. Overall, with Jupiter now in your sign, life is bringing opportunities in all areas of your life.

Gemini Horoscopes

As a Gemini you are at heart a communicator and usually have a wealth of ideas. With the Sun in your area of communication until August 23, do make the most of this by expressing yourself and sharing ideas with others. However, you need to be aware that at the same time as this, your ruler, Mercury is retrograde, suggesting you put the brakes on a little. It doesn’t mean you should communicate less but it’s good to be aware that what you say could be taken in the wrong way and be used against you! You begin August in an optimistic frame of mind, prepared to take a few risks. This is different from the cautious approach you normally take but its good now to break out of your shell, so long as you don’t overdo it. It may feel difficult to do this as fiery Mars is entering your sign on August 3, pushing you to act.

You are on a roll as August begins but there’s a spanner in the works when Mercury goes retrograde on August 2 until August 26, causing you to slow down and watch your words; not always easy for expressive Leo. Especially now with the Sun in your sign, urging you to shine and impress everyone around you with your dynamic and magnetic personality. Also, on August 3, Mars enters Cancer, again urging you towards caution rather than excessive confidence, your natural state! August 14 is a great time for you to promote yourself; there’s also a very positive Pluto trine to the New Moon which indicates some type of career boost or recognition for you.

Virgo Horoscope

Mercury Retrograde periods always affect you more than most other signs since Mercury is your ruler. This speedy little planet is in retrograde motion from August 2-26 in your own sign, making communication a little frustrating and urging you to slow down and take stock. There are some things that you thought were set in stone that you will now have to rethink so do set aside some reflection time; do some honest thinking about what’s going on in your life and what things you might change. On August 14, there is a triple conjunction of the Sun, Mercury and Venus in Leo, which denotes a particularly creative time for you and also a good time to plan for the future.

Libra Horoscope

August is a busy month for you socially so be sure to keep track of all the events and engagements coming your way; especially as Mercury turns retrograde on August 2 to 26 bringing its usual frustrations and delays. Remember, though, this is the perfect time to revise your plans and schedule some down time. The month begins with a lovely aspect between your ruler, Venus, and avant-garde, Uranus. You may find yourself spending time with unconventional friends and this is certainly a great time to study astrology. Scorpio Horoscope

After a long, dry period, you may now come to realize that it is time for you to make some drastic changes. You are especially feeling this urge to change this around August 9 as your ruler, Mars, makes challenging aspects to the long square between Uranus and your co-ruler, Pluto. These are deep, far-reaching changes about what you want to achieve with your life rather than fleeting, superficial changes. However, actually this is not the time to make the changes but to work hard on planning them. You haven’t yet got the green light to go. Be cautious about taking advice from someone close to you around August 21.

Sagittarius Horoscope

You like adventure and experience and there should be plenty for you in August. The month begins with a high-powered square between the Sun in your adventurous Ninth House and confident Jupiter, urging you to believe in yourself and your dreams. It’s a good time to plan a trip abroad or a study course of some kind; however, don’t neglect the details especially once Mercury goes retrograde from August 2-26. If you do, you could double-book or miss an essential piece of the puzzle. August 18 is a good day for decision-making and taking initiative since there’s a nice balance between taking a little risk while also being cautious.

Capricorn Horoscope

On August 1 there’s an exciting trine with Venus and Uranus but it may be a little like a sugar pill in that things fizzle out fast when Mercury turns retrograde the next day, August 2 until August 26. The little daily frustrations of Mercury Retrograde may compound a bit when Mars enters your opposite sign, Cancer, the very next day, August 3. Mars also makes a trine to Neptune urging you to trust someone and bend over backwards to help. While these things are always good, now is the time to listen to your own counsel.

Aquarius Horoscope

August is an important month to you when Neptune, which has been nestled lightly in Pisces, dips back into your sign on August 4 bringing its magic and mystery back into your life until February 2012. This adds another, more spiritual and romantic element to your life which you have missed just lately. This time embrace the spiritual by bringing it more fully into your life. It’s good to do this during Mercury Retrograde from August 2-26, when this time period urges you to reflect on your life and learn from the past. Mid-month can be a delightful time with the Sun, Venus and Mercury shining their collective light on your relationships and dealings with the public.

Pisces Horoscope

Well, there are definitely some challenges ahead this month and you may be feeling torn between feeling fearful of change and excited about new possibilities. There’s so much going on as the month begins that it’s hard to concentrate on the everyday things. This will be compounded on August 2-26 when Mercury goes retrograde once again, bringing its usual round of frustrations and urging you to take a step back. However, despite a few communication breakdowns along the way, you’re at your most creative and visionary. Aries Horoscope

As an Aries, you like to live in the moment, unencumbered by anxieties or worries about the past or future. However, as you prefer to begin things and not finish them, you can leave loose ends with unfinished projects and relationships. Now is the time when the loose ends from the past come back to haunt you so beware power struggles. You may not feel like dealing with issues right now but actually it is the ideal time to complete and let go of things and people from the past that have been weighing you down, whether or not you have been conscious of this.

Taurus Horoscope

You’re still in a time of change and responsibilities continue to grow, making you feel a little overwhelmed. There has been a series of eclipses that began in June and the third and final in this series is on July 1 at the Cancer New Moon. It makes a difficult aspect to Saturn, Uranus and Pluto and is, therefore, a powerful Solar Eclipse. It falls in the area of communication and so indicates powerful and intense conversations and interactions with others. At the same time, Jupiter is now in your sign of Taurus so this helps to alleviate potentially difficult time by giving you a good perspective and a generous approach.

Gemini Horoscope

 Money may be uppermost in your mind this month with a lot of planetary activity in this area of your chart. The month begins with the third in a series of eclipses, a Solar Eclipse on July 1 also in this area in the sign of Cancer. You may feel your foundations are being shaken up with a difficult aspect to Saturn, but in the long run it is loosening you from difficulties of the past. You are feeling confident and energetic enough to tackle any obstacles.

The month begins with a Cancer Solar Eclipse on July 1 encouraging you to take care of your friends. However, there’s a challenging aspect to Saturn which suggests you prefer to do this in practical ways rather than expressing how you feel. If you belong to a group, organization or network, you may find yourself in a situation where you’re views are different from those around you. Your ruler is Mercury, so you can be opinionated, thinking you know best but right now it’s probably to your advantage to keep your opinions to yourself and instead show your kind and compassionate side. That will help to ease potential stress in a group situation.

Libra Horoscope

The month begins with a powerful New Moon Solar Eclipse in Cancer on July 1, setting the scene for a possible career move into a different line of work, or another aspect or responsibility in your current situation. If you are currently unemployed, and wish to be, now could be the time. However, it may be a difficult transition period with stressful aspects from Uranus and Saturn and an opposition to Pluto bringing intensity and possible conflict. Don’t run away from conflict; hold tight and be your most charming, diplomatic self at this time. After this potentially difficult first week, there is a sweet trine between Jupiter and Pluto on July 7, also encouraging change in the job scene but in a more helpful way.

Scorpio Horoscope

There’s a very powerful New Moon Solar Eclipse on July 1 which is in the sign of Cancer – but it affects everyone. With you, you may have some anxiety about the future. Just remember, a New Moon is urging you to action and even stress can be helpful if used to move us from our comfort zone into a place of dynamic change. It’s not a time to take risks, as there are difficult aspects to Saturn, Uranus and an opposition to Pluto slowing you down. However, it is time to look honestly at your future and plan to make adjustments where necessary.

Sagittarius Horoscope

You may be dealing with shared issues this month, such as financial resources and partnerships, beginning on July 1 with a New Moon Solar Eclipse in Cancer in this area of your chart. With some difficult aspects to Pluto, Uranus and Saturn it can bring shake ups in this area, as the truth may be revealed in unexpected or less than perfect ways. The best approach is to reflect carefully on what is revealed, rather than react emotionally. It is always good to know the truth even if it is not what you want to hear. You can be idealistic and pride yourself on speaking the truth; however, exaggeration is possible around July 5 with a square of Mercury and Jupiter.

This has difficult aspects to the powerful outer planets, Pluto, Uranus and Saturn, so don’t forget an easy pleasant beginning to July. What you can expect is work, as this falls in this area of your chart bringing pressure in your daily routines. You may also find that friends feature prominently around July 7 causing some excitement as well as anxiety. Expect the unexpected right now because even the best of friends may be difficult to rely upon at this time. The mood sweetens a couple of days latter with a sweet aspect between Venus and Jupiter; it’s kiss-and-make-up time.

Pisces Horoscope

The month begins in an unsettling way for everyone with an important New Moon Solar Eclipse in Cancer on July 1 with difficult aspects to several of the outer planets, i.e. Pluto, Uranus and Saturn. However, this will affect us all differently. As it is in the area of your chart connected to creativity and also children, on the positive side you may be feeling particularly creative and it’s good to express this. You could, on the other hand, experience some upsets with children or others could bring out the child in you. The planets are all there urging us to grow and evolve and times that may seem stressful are often times when we can learn the most about ourselves; how we handle stress, and how we need to change.
